The Magpie’s Curio

What even is a magpie?! They’re part of the crow family and they are noisy little geniuses! A “magpie” can also refer to a certified yapper who collects random treasures. Magpies have long been associated with curiosity, intelligence, collecting, and a fascination with shiny things. Folklore has painted them as clever treasure hunters that pick up what catches their eye and carry it back to their nest.

All of that felt familiar enough to plant the seed that eventually blossomed into The Magpie’s Curio. It’s the same kind of concept: notice beautiful thing, create a story behind beautiful thing, bring beautiful thing home.

A “treasure” might be a crystal with a hidden rainbow, handmade art from a moment of creative spark, a spiritual tool, secondhand goodies ready for the next step in their journey, or a tiny trinket that simply refused to stay behind.

The magpie became the perfect mascot for a shop made from curiosity, collection, creativity, and the belief that the right object will always call to the right person.

Some call it collecting, some call it treasure hunting, the magpie calls it Tuesday.
