This Brazilian amethyst decided purple was optional.
The entire front is covered in a snowy layer of tiny druzy crystals, giving it that sugary, frosted look that absolutely erupts with sparkle when the light moves across it. It’s technically very pale amethyst material, often sold as “white amethyst,” and the near-colorless crystal growth makes this one feel completely different from the classic deep-purple clusters.
What I especially love is the contrast around the sides. You get the bright crystalline face, then that creamy agate/quartz border transitions into a much darker natural matrix on the back. There’s even a little exposed pocket along one side, so the piece still feels wonderfully geological instead of overly polished and perfect.
And she is CHONKY. More than two pounds of sparkly Brazilian rock with a nicely cut base, so she sits beautifully as a display specimen without needing a stand.
Metaphysically, amethyst is traditionally associated with intuition, spiritual awareness, calm, energetic protection, and mental clarity. With this unusually pale material, I’d personally describe the vibe as a softer expression of classic amethyst energy, still intuitive and soothing, but visually much more moonlit than mystical-purple-cave.
